Hello Guys and Gals!
I am based in the UAE and currently I am using my car to travel to work and back home. Distance from my home to work is about 5KM... I will be driving mainly on the foot path. I am looking for something fast yet safe and I think Mach1 has the right product for me. before I purchase from Mach1 I wanted to know what existing owners of mach1 think about Mach1 scooters... Are they worth it? Do they really travel 20Km and 40km/h? What about the maintenance/service?
I would appreciate if you guys can comment, also if you know any alternative scooters please advice about them..
Sorry I am posting in English but I couldnt find any english forum with Mach1 owners!
Thank you

I do trust you have already scrolled through this part of the forum using an online translator to see for yourself what people here have already written about Mach1 scooters? Because all you are asking has already been written about here

I thought it wouldn't hurt just to confirm! By the way are there any other electric scooters to consider?

Here in Germany at least the Revoluzzer line seems to be a lot more solid, more quiet, and less complex with it's hub motor concept. Please see the Revoluzzer sub forum for more on those.

Hello Ahtiram,
I am the owner of a Mach1 6B 48V with original-accu 12V-14Ah (+20€). I bought it in February 2014 and yes I think they are worth it.
Do they travel 20 kilometres? I don't think so, but don’t even tested till yet. 15 kilometres should be no problem even if the road is a little bit hilly and if you don’t use the energy saving mode that effect a speed limit of 20 km/h.
Do they reach 40 km/h? Nearly, i am about 1,75m tall, weigh 67 kilogram and reach between 37-39 km/h on flat ground. (40 km/h only downhill)
Attention: There has been a change on the controller unit. Mine has the 12V supply integrated, the new one have a separate 12V supply unit. I have heard about problems with the high-speed regarding the newer one. (Don't know if this problem is already fixed or not)
What about the maintenance/service? If you do not have two left arms you should be able to maintain your scooter at your own, because the engineering is quiet simple. Personally I am totally fine with the service of S&S Sportartikel who sells the Mach1 products. They have sent me a spare backlight because mine was even broken when it was delivered and then they have sent me a controller because within 6 month from date of purchase the 12V supply was broken. Twice I have contacted the support via e-mail and a day later I have received an answer, and a little later the spare parts reached me.
Alternative scooters? Similar looking scooters have almost the same parts built in, so the only reason for me to choose the mach1 was because of the cheaper price compared with Forca, EVO or SXT.
In summary I am happy with the Mach1, but highly recommend a 48V scooter to you, because they are much more powerful. (Before I bought the 6B I already have had a scooter with 36V)
